Helensburgh Tigers vs University & IPCC Gold

It was a highly successful Round 12 for the Helensburgh Tigers, with strong performances across the grades delivering a weekend to remember. Solid batting foundations, disciplined bowling, and sharp fielding were on display throughout, highlighting the depth and cohesion across the club.
1st Grade – One Day Match Report (Round 12 vs University)
University won the toss and elected to bat first in this one-day fixture, but Helensburgh’s bowlers ensured there was little room to settle.
University were dismissed for 111 all out in 38 overs,
with Rhys Fowler producing a standout spell, finishing with an excellent 5/25 from 10 overs. He was well supported by Will Hoy, who claimed 2/24 from 7 overs, keeping the pressure firmly on throughout the innings.
In reply, Helensburgh chased down the target with composure, finishing at 5/112 in 33.5 overs. Lyndon James anchored the innings with a patient and well-constructed 53 runs, while Luke Baillie remained unbeaten on 10, guiding the side home and securing a deserved victory.

2nd Grade – One Day Match Report (Round 12 vs University)
Helensburgh won the toss and elected to bat first, making full use of the conditions to post a competitive total.
The innings was headlined by a commanding knock from Mark Cottom, who struck a superb 87 runs, controlling the tempo from start to finish. He was ably supported by Kevin Read, who contributed a valuable 35 runs, helping Helensburgh reach 5/193 from 50 overs.
With the ball, Helensburgh were ruthless. Anthony Arena delivered a devastating spell, tearing through the University batting lineup with figures of 5/8 from just 5.4 overs. Mark Cottom capped off an outstanding all-round performance, adding 3/19 from 5 overs.
University were dismissed for 148 all out in 41.4 overs, sealing a convincing win for the Tigers.

3rd Grade - One Day Match Report (Round 12 vs IPCC Blue)
IPCC Blue won the toss and elected to bowl first, putting Helensburgh under early pressure.
Despite a challenging batting innings, Helensburgh showed resilience to post 165 all out. Rowan Knight led the scoring with a determined 40 runs, while Finn Stewart provided solid support with 34, helping the Tigers reach a defendable total.
The bowlers then stepped up in outstanding fashion. Helensburgh applied consistent pressure throughout the innings, dismissing IPCC Blue for 134 all out to seal a strong win. Will Muller was the standout, claiming 4/25, while Jarvis Chaplin chipped in with a crucial 2/18, as wickets fell regularly.
Result: Helensburgh defeated IPCC Blue
4th Grade – One Day Match Report (Round 12 vs IPCC Gold)
Helensburgh won the toss and chose to bat first, setting the tone early with positive intent.
Batting depth proved decisive, as Helensburgh posted a commanding 7/282 from 45 overs.Michael Barilla led the way with a composed 46 runs, while Brandon Waters added a fluent 45, helping build a formidable total.
The bowlers then took control, dismissing IPCC Gold for 177 all out in 34.4 overs.James Parkes was outstanding, claiming 4/23 from 9 overs, while Geoff Mallon provided strong support with 2/44 from 7 overs.
Result: Helensburgh defeated IPCC Gold
