�� Cricket Blast – Ages 5–9

For our youngest players, Cricket Blast is a great way to introduce children to the game in a fun, relaxed and friendly environment.

Held on Saturday mornings , Cricket Blast focuses on learning the basics and developing fundamental cricket skills through fun activities and games. It's a great starting point for kids who are new to cricket and want to give it a go.

�� Junior Cricket – Under 10s to Under 15s

As players develop, they can progress into our Junior Cricket program, with teams from Under 10s through to Under 15s .

Junior matches are played on Saturday mornings , generally running for a few hours, giving players the opportunity to develop their skills, learn about teamwork and enjoy playing competitive cricket with their friends.

�� Senior Cricket – Saturday Afternoons

For older players, our Senior Cricket program provides the opportunity to continue playing and developing through the grades.

Senior cricket is played on Saturday afternoons , with opportunities for players to progress through the grades as their skills and experience develop.

Whether you're an experienced cricketer or completely new to the game, we'd love to have you involved.

The road to the new cricket season has officially begun, with the Helensburgh Tigers holding our first pre-season training session at the nets this week.

It may have been a cold afternoon in Helensburgh, but that didn’t stop a group of senior and junior players from turning up and getting stuck into the first session of the new season.

Head Coaches Shem and Cal had the players working hard from the outset, with the session beginning with a fitness component designed to get everyone moving, before the group moved into the nets for some valuable time with bat and ball.

For some, it was the first chance to get the cricket gear back out and start preparing for the season ahead, while for others it was a welcome opportunity to shake off the cobwebs and get back into the rhythm of training.

It was great to see a mix of senior and junior players making the effort to get along, and while numbers were small for the first session, there is plenty of time for more players to join us in the weeks ahead.

Pre-season is an important part of getting everyone ready — building fitness, getting the skills back up to speed and, just as importantly, getting together as a club before the first ball is bowled.

With the new season getting closer, we’re looking forward to seeing plenty more Tigers at training over the coming weeks as we continue to prepare for another big season for the Helensburgh Cricket Club.

The hard work has started. The season is coming!

Two clubs. One name. One great game.

Helensburgh Cricket Club Meets Helensburgh Cricket Club!

It’s not every day you get the chance to visit another cricket club with exactly the same name — and recently, two members of Helensburgh Cricket Club took the opportunity to do just that during their UK holiday.

While in Scotland, they spent some time with the Helensburgh Cricket Club in Scotland , enjoying the opportunity to meet members of the club, share stories and learn more about each club’s history, traditions and involvement in their local communities.

It was a great chance for both clubs to discover the similarities — and differences — between cricket on opposite sides of the world, while also enjoying the simple connection that comes from sharing the Helensburgh name and a love of the game.

The visit also included the opportunity to watch the Helensburgh Cricket Club First XI in action at their home ground against Uddingston. It was a fantastic way to experience the club in its own environment and see some Scottish club cricket firsthand.

There was plenty of conversation, plenty of cricket talk and, most importantly, the beginnings of a great relationship between the two Helensburgh Cricket Clubs.

Both clubs are looking forward to continuing the connection and hopefully strengthening the relationship in the years ahead, with the possibility of further visits, exchanges and opportunities to share ideas and experiences.

From Helensburgh, Australia, to Helensburgh, Scotland — it seems there’s another cricketing connection worth keeping an eye on!

While two games were abandoned due to the weather, Fourth Grade secured a strong win and First Grade welcomed two new debutants.
